Working With Me

You might know something isn’t working, but not know how to make a shift. Therapy with me offers a gentle space to quiet the noise, reconnect with the wisdom of your body and emotions, and begin untangling the protective patterns that steal your peace.

It’s Time To Reclaim you!

How it Works

Your healing, at your pace from your own space or in-person.

Service:

1:1 Individual Counselling for adults and seniors via in-person or a convenient, private, and secure on-line platform (virtual/video).

*All sessions are by appointment only.

Free Connection Call (via video):

Whether your interest is in-person or virtual, or you are not sure, the Connection Call is the place to start.

I offer a Complimentary Connection Call to help us get to know each other. Ask your questions and find out if you feel we are a good fit for your healing journey.

The Connection Call (and all virtual sessions) is conducted via video through Doxy-Me—a secure, encrypted telemedicine platform that’s easy to use and there is no downloading required.

A Connection Call is required prior to booking a session whether in-person or virtual.

In-person Therapy

I am excited to now offer in-person sessions. The office is located at the Oxygen Beauty Bar and Lounge right on the main street in downtown Trenton. *Please note all sessions, including Connection Calls are by appointment only. There is plenty of parking in and around downtown Trenton and I am happy to give you suggestions to ease finding a space. There is a washroom facility available. It is an accessible space. Photos to follow soon.

Online Therapy

I understand both professionally and personally how effective and meaningful virtual counselling can be. Online therapy is private, convenient, and offers a surprising sense of connection—all from the comfort of your own space.

Benefits of virtual sessions include:

  • No commute, parking, or weather worries—more time for you

  • Greater privacy, especially in smaller communities

  • Access to care even if you’re navigating physical challenges or conditions like agoraphobia

  • The freedom to show up in your coziest clothes

  • A gentle transition after your session—with time to reflect, sip a cup of tea, or simply rest.

Whether you choose in-person or virtual for your therapy, my priority is creating a space that feels safe, grounded, and attuned to your needs.

You are also welcome to email me to book the Connection Call or ask questions: Michele@fromshadowstosoullightcounselling.com or call: (343) 342-1287.

Welcome Email

Once you have booked your First Session you will receive a Welcome email outlining some of the information we have discussed during the Connection Call and any steps you need take to be ready for your first session.

First Session – The Intake

Your first appointment is a 90-minute intake session designed to ease you into the process. We’ll explore your goals for therapy, discuss your background, and begin to outline a personalized path forward. This extended time also allows space for questions, so you feel supported and informed right from the start.

Ongoing Sessions

Therapy is a journey, and consistency in the beginning often builds momentum. Weekly sessions are typically recommended at first, with frequency gradually adjusted based on your needs. Each ongoing session is 60 minutes, and we’ll collaborate to find a rhythm that feels right for you.

Follow-Up Notes

A day or two after your session you will receive a follow-up note. A brief summary of the session, something for you to reflect on, and/or some strategies to practice.
